Cutting The Vine

We receive messages through our hair.  It also stores information and energy. For these reasons I am extremely protective of my hair.  I have been known to harshly check people for taking the liberty of touching my locs.  It’s an extremely intimate act, so permission should be granted before you place your hands in someone’s hair.

My locs began to feel “heavy” with negative energy.  It was storing so much pain, hurt and disappointment.  I was experiencing loss, loss of connections and friendships.  I was feeling lost.  That and so many other things had been transferred to me.  I was holding on to old struggles and things that no longer served me. Chaos, confusion and conflict had become tangled into the strands.

I had to cut the vines so that I could release those things.  It was truly time to disconnect from all that kept me in anguish.  I was cutting away old fears, anxieties and some recent traumas.  It’s a bit lighter than before.
Wisdom, strength and blessings will come with new growth.  Perhaps I may cut it some more. We sometimes have to perform rituals for spirit renewal and refortification, so that we receive what is meant for us. No more dead vines. I am ready for new life.
